Protecting the Valley of the Leopard
Chichele Presidential looks over one of Africa's great leopard landscapes, and the lodge's job is to help keep it that way. It supports the people and projects protecting the South Luangwa, and every stay contributes to that work.
Our philosophy
Rooted in Mfuwe
Our kitchen buys from Eden Organics, a farm run by widowed women in Mfuwe village and led by Mervis Mbewe, giving them training and a reliable market. We also support the Chipembele Wildlife Education Centre, Conservation South Luangwa, the Zambian Carnivore Programme, and scholarships for our team.
A Lighter Footprint
Built on its original foundations, the lodge runs on hydroelectric power, recycles its wastewater, and gives every guest a steel flask in place of plastic bottles.
